Our National 250th Anniversary

Our 250th National Anniversary is coming on July 4th 2026. On this page we list some notable events in our area that led to or affected the Revolutionary War efforts or our early national history. We want to recognize these events and are planning how best to accomplish that.

Whether you want to call it a quartermillennial, a semiquincentennial, or a sestercentennial it is a very important milestone for us and our country.

We ask for your help. If there are other notable Revolutionary War and/or Independence related events in what is now Maryland please reach out and let us know. Also if you have ideas of the best way to recognize these events please give us your ideas. Send your comments or ideas to 250th@mdssar.org . Thank you.
