Old St. Paul's Cemetery Grave Marking

On Sat. April 28th members of the DAR, SAR and 1812 Society dedicated markers in Old St. Paul's Cemetery, in Baltimore, to Patriots Joshua Barney and John Eager Howard. President Raborg and Past Presidents Christos Christou and Edward Foreman all spoke.The event was also supported by past Presidents David Hoover, Ivan Dooley and the Maryland Color Guard. The MDSSAR made the paper...in Bermuda!

While some of us were attending the meeting of the MDSSAR Board of Officers and Managers on the 31st, other Maryland Compatriots were representing the Maryland Society at a ceremony at the historic Congressional Cemetery in Washington, DC. Scroll through the pictures to see some of our members from the MDSSAR Color Guard as they and other members of the SAR, DAR and CAR honored Bermudian Thomas Tudor Tucker, remembered for his role in the 1775 Gunpowder Plot: 

Westminster Chapter Genealogy Workshop

The Westminster Chapter SAR will be hosting a Genealogy Workshop at Mount Airy Public Library, Saturday 21 June 2014 from 10 AM to noon.  Presented by the Carrollton Manor DAR, the event is open to the public.  All chapter registrars, especially those in the western counties, are encouraged to attend this event and ask questions that can help them in the roles in their chapter.  The event is free.
