EVENT: JEH SAR Chapter Meeting
LOCATION: Maritime Conference Center aka CCMIT, 692 Maritime Blvd, Linthicum Heights, MD 21090
Come join us for a board meeting of the Col. John Eager Howard Chapter, Maryland Society Sons of the American Revolution at historic Todd's Inheritance near Fort Howard, MD - named after our Chapter's namesake – Col. Howard. For over 300 years (1664 - 1970's), the Todd family lived and worked the land, passing the property from father to son for 10 generations.
On June 5th at 10am, the Col. John Eager Howard Chapter is holding its Annual Memorial at the Old St. Paul’s Cemetery. With all the work the DAR has been doing to clean up the cemetery, we expect to see a greatly improved cemetery since our last memorial there two years ago. We will be there to honor our Chapter Namesake as well as the other Patriots including Signer of the Declaration of Independence Samuel Chase who are buried at this historic cemetery.
Our JEH VP Dan Fisher was able to secure a location for our April meeting at the historic Old Otterbein United Methodist Church in downtown Baltimore. All members are welcomed to attend the Board meetings. We will have officer and chairmen reports as well as planning discussions for our June St. Paul’s Event.
The Col. John Eager Howard Chapter presented two checks to the C.A.R. for their 2016 activities today. At the Nov 7th and Jan. 30th Meetings, the JEH Chapter voted to contribute to the C.A.R.’s objectives. The mission of the National SAR encourages each SAR Chapter to support a local Chapter of the C.A.R. and the JEH Chapter approved a donation of $100 at its November 7th meeting to the Thomas Johnson Society which serves the Baltimore area. Accepting on their behalf, the Thomas Johnson C.A.R.
