The Sergeant Lawrence Everhart Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution (SAR) and the Frederick Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) will cohost a ceremony honoring Revolutionary War veteran George Poe by installing a marker at his grave in the Israel’s Creek Meetinghouse Cemetery in Walkersville on Sunday, April 26, 2015 at 3:00PM.

FSK Memorial Foundation Supports Frederick Town Fife and Drum

The Francis Scott Key Memorial Foundation has recently awarded the Frederick Town Fife & Drum Corps a two thousand four hundred and fourteen dollar ($2,414.00) grant to fund the purchase of uniforms and musical equipment. 

Captain Joseph Swearigen Gravesite Dedication

June 24 Dedication of a Patriot Marker & Gravesite by the Sgt. Lawrence Everhart Chapter assisted by the MDSSAR Color Guard. It was to Mark and Dedicate the Grave of Joseph Swearingen, who was a Captain in the 12th Regiment of the Continental Line of Virginia, and a BG in the 9th Brigade of the Maryland Militia during the War of 1812. Members of the Frederick Chapter and the Carrollton Manor Chapter DAR were in attendance.
