On Saturday, July 4, the Treaty of Paris Center at the Maryland Inn on Main Street in Annapolis presents “After the Declaration of Independence: Congress on the Run,” featuring a lecture by Mark Croatti at 2:30pm in the Treaty of Paris Restaurant on Congress fleeing Philadelphia for Baltimore, including who was serving in Congress and what decisions were made in Baltimore.
The Maryland Society Sons of the American Revolution will be hosting a bus trip to honor the Maryland 400 of Revolutionary War fame on 29 August. Stops will include the Maryland 400 Monument in Prospect Park and the Old Stone House where the Marylanders fought during the Battle of Brooklyn, also known as the Battle of Long Island. A flyer will follow as soon as the details are finalized. This trip is also open to the Daughters of the American Revolution.
