John Hanson Chapter Meeting, April 2018

The John Hanson Chapter inducted two new members Ray Mann and Kent Kramer. State President Jim Adkins on right and Chapter President Doug Stuart on left.  In addition, the chapter presented a Law Enforcement Award to Cpl Angelo Piazza of the Prince George’s County police department for bravery in saving lives from a burning vehicle. With him are chapter President Doug Stuart, the corporal’s mother, and the president of the local chapter of the DAR. 

John Hanson Chapter Meeting

The John Hanson Chapter will be holding a meeting on Thursday April 26, 2018 at 7PM. They will be discussing old and new business, inducting new chapter members, and honoring law enforcement officers and eagle scouts.

John Hanson Chapter Law Enforcement Award Ceremony 11/20/2016

The attached files are the Law Enforcement Award Ceremony conducted by the John Hanson chapter SAR and Harmony Hall chapter DAR on November 20, 2016. Awards were presented to one Prince Georges County Police officer and one Park Police Officer for bravery in the line of duty.  Douglas Stuart SAR and Lynn Rainey DAR chapter presidents made the presentations.

John Hanson Flag Award Ceremony

Attached is the photo taken on Nov 24, 2014 awarding the Flag Certificate of recognition to Jerry and Sue TePaske, who live in the Tantallion Community of Fort Washington. This flag display is quite unique as it is flown from the deck in the rear of the house facing the Potomac River for all to see always waving in the wind as can be seen in the picture.


Making the presentation were Douglas Stuart and George Satterthwaite of the John Hanson Chapter with Sue and Jerry Paske holding the certificate
