NSSAR JROTC Enhanced Program Essay Results 2015-2016



The National Contest winner was from the Georgia Society, second place from Connecticut Society, third place was from Oklahoma Society.


Our entrant to the National Contest was Samantha Buckman, Governor Thomas Johnson High School from the Sgt Lawrence Everhart Chapter. In the over all rating she came in 11th out of 20 competitors.


I wish to thank all chapters from the Maryland Society who participated in this years contest and look forward to working with you in  the 2016-2017 season.

Westminster ROTC Award Presentation

On 21 April 2015, at a ceremony in the Baker Chapel of William McDaniel College, Westminster, Maryland, Westminster Chapter immediate past president, Dr. Cecil Massie, presented the chapter’s SAR ROTC award to Cadet Kyle Shaffer.  Shaffer is a freshman studying English from New Freedom, Pennsylvania.  The presentation was made during the Green Terror Battalion ARMY ROTC President’s Review.  

Presentation of Outstanding Cadet Award at Lansdowne High School May 8, 2015


The presentation of the JROTC Bronze Medal, the Chapter Outstanding Cadet and State Society Outstanding Cadet awards were presented to cadet Major Richard Seibert at the Landsdowne High School Army JROTC Annual Awards Banquet last evening, May 8, by George Satterthwaite, on behalf of the Nicholas Ruxton Moore Chapter and the Maryland State Society SAR.
