Historic Annapolis invites you to a special lecture by
Patrick O'Donnell
Historian and best-selling author of Washington's Immortals
August 22, 2016
5:30pm
Maryland State House
Governor's Reception Room, 100 State Circle
In August 1776, General George Washington found his troops outmanned and outmaneuvered at the Battle of Brooklyn with no obvious escape. Mr. O’Donnell’s lecture will bring to life the forgotten story of the “Immortal 400,” a heroic regiment of Maryland militiamen whose series of attacks allowed Washington’s army to evacuate and live to fight another day.
Following the lecture, join us for a reception and an exclusive viewing of original archival material related to the “Immortal 400” from the collection of the Maryland State Archives.
