Harbin Brothers - War of 1812 Grave Marking Ceremony

The 1812 Society will be hosting grave marking ceremony for two of our ancestors who participated in the War of 1812.

The selected ceremony date is Saturday, September 6, 2014, at 1:00 pm in the afternoon.

Notification and permission have been obtained from Pastor, Father Rory T. Conley of the church, and also the Catholic Cemeteries of the Archdiocese of Washington. We will be marking the graves of two brothers who served during the War of 1812 in the First Regiment, Maryland Militia. The grave sites of John "Walter" Harbin and Rezin Harbin will be marked with stand-alone grave markers from both the General Society of the War of 1812 and the National Society United States Daughters of 1812.

Participants from the Society of the War of 1812 from both Virginia and Maryland, the Society of the US Daughters of 1812, and any other interested people will be in attendance.
