Two new members were inducted into the Little Meadows Chapter during our Saturday afternoon luncheon at Perkins Restaurant in Deep Creek, MD. L-R New member Michael Sisler II, Terry R. Grove, New member Seth Bernard and Ansel Shircliffe. Compatriot Paul Shockey received a plaque from President Terry R. Grove on behalf of the Chapter recognizing his eight years service as president, his leadership and devotion to The Sons of the American Revolution. Local resident, Alison Sines is presented the Emergency Medical Services Certificate and Medal by Terry R Grove in recognition of her dedication to the preservation of life and health under emergency conditions. Six members of the Little Meadows Chapter were presented the Vietnam Veterans Lapel Pin along with a Certificate to recognize, thank and honor their service during the Vietnam War. The Awards were presented by Mary Anne Adkins, Regent, the Samuel Chase Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution. The SAR Law Enforcement Award was awarded posthumously to Norval Speelman, a life long resident of Garrett Co, MD. Mr. Speelman was a teacher, lawyer, Judge of Orphans Court and Magistrate. His portrait and certificate will be presented to the local historical Society in his home town. Terry R.
