131st Annual Meeting of the Maryland Society of the Sons of the American Revolution-Rescheduled

Dear Compatriots and Friends,

The 131st Annual Meeting of the Maryland Society of the Sons of the American Revolution has been rescheduled to Saturday, June 6, 2020 at Dutch’s Daughter Restaurant in Frederick, Maryland.  The restaurant is located at 581 Himes Avenue, with ample free parking.

A hot breakfast buffet with scrambled eggs, bacon, fried potatoes, French toast, biscuits, assorted pastries, fresh fruit, and coffee, juice and tea, will be available beginning at 8:00 a.m.

The Annual Meeting will be called to order at 9:00 a.m.  Spouses and guests are invited to attend a presentation by Dr. Patricia Maclay who is the MSSDAR State Historian during the meeting.  Following the business portion of the meeting, all are invited to attend the Maryland Society’s annual Youth Awards and the Memorial Service for our departed Compatriots.

A luncheon buffet with sautéed beef tenderloin, Hawaiian chicken, and vegetarian stuffed vegetarian shells. Also included are tossed garden salad and rolls, rice, chocolate mousse pie, with coffee, tea, and soda.

Following lunch, author Christian McBurney who wrote George Washington’s Nemesis will be our guest speaker.

Please return the bottom portion of the attached invitation to Treasurer Gary R. Neal to register for the Annual Meeting.  The cost is $55 per person, with breakfast and lunch included.  The deadline for making reservations is May 28, 2020.
