Gentlemen,
It is my pleasure to announce that you may now register for the 125th Annual SAR Congress to be held in Louisville, Ky. Please see the information below for the process to use.
I just returned from the 2013 NSSAR Congress in Kansas City and am pleased to report that we, the Maryland Society, were well represented. Please find attached the group photograph of our members and their ladies that was taken after the formal banquet on Tuesday evening. This year we had three first time attendees among the ten official voting delegates representing the Maryland Society:
Mr. Albert V. Marx, Jr. was inducted into the Gen. William Smallwood Chapter of the Maryland SAR on September 5, 2013. He is the first new member to be inducted via NSSAR’s national Operation REACH program, a joint venture with Ancestry.com. Maryland was one of 3 test states to pilot the program prior to the national rollout. Gen. William Smallwood President, Tim McCabe, was the Maryland Operation REACH chairman and assisted Mr. Marx.
2nd Vice President Jim Engler has done an excellent job coordinating the 2014 Semi-Annual Meeting. It will be held at the Miller Senate Office Building in Annapolis, MD on October 25th, 2014.
