Members of SAR, 1812 and others are invited to attend. This occasion will be made more special by several VIPs that will be in attendance and disclosed in the final invitations. For those of you not aware, Jean Fugett is nominee for President and Reginald Lewis is his brother so a very fitting place to hold his election as President. If elected, Jean’s family will become a first for National SAR – 3 generations of an African-American family to be Chapter Presidents in the National SAR’s entire 125 Year history!
Years ago, the MDSSAR donated $5000 to the creation of a display case in the State House for GW's resignation speech that came out of private hands - it sounds like there will be a ceremony to unveil it now.
Please find attached the latest edition of the Westminster SAR chapter newsletter, The Westminster Associator. Also, our website has been updated. Included in this issue is a draft of the chapter's Bylaws; chapter members were requested to provide me comments by the end of the year for inclusion in a final version to be included in the next issue and voted on at the chapter's Spring meeting
